What Is Soy Wax

Soy wax is a relative newcomer in the candle manufacturing industry. It is fast becoming a popular alternative to burning paraffin candles, especially in this day and age as we strive to be more environmentally aware and seek alternatives to petroleum based products where possible.

Soy wax is made from soy beans, a natural, renewable and sustainable resource.  This makes it an excellent choice for those of us who wish to burn environmentally friendly candles.  Soy beans are grown in various parts of the world.  However, for ethical reasons, we ensure that our soy wax only comes from soy beans grown in the USA, the original home of the soy bean and up until recently 80% of the world’s soy bean producer.

You’ll find no pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified material in our soy wax.  Only a careful blend of 100% soy beans and selected natural botanical oils.

Soy wax burns cooler and cleaner than paraffin wax, increasing your candle’s life by burning up to 50% longer and up to 95% cleaner.

Soy wax has an unusual rustic or frosting effect after the melt pool has cooled.  This is due to the makeup of the wax and in no way affects the burn or scent.

Soy wax is vegetable based, so if you do spill any it can be cleaned up with hot soap and water.  Being vegetable based also means that it is biodegradable.
